Just Another Thursday

     Thanksgiving was pretty quiet. So the pantoum for Poetry Writing homework describing it was pretty quiet, too. I kind of broke the format apart more than I should've, but the words wouldn't quite cooperate. And besides, it was just a draft. I can revise later if necessary.

As rain falls outside,

it’s just another holiday.

Ham bakes in the oven,

along with the pecan pie.

football plays on the TV,

along with the pecan pie

go sandwich leftovers.

the dogs are begging, but

well with board games.

maybe next year will be something special.

For now, break out the board games.
